Natural light photographer, I thrive on these fleeting moments where the love, joy, or soul shows. My artistic background is always showing through my photography work. You will get the more formal portraits, they are after all, what we are looking for at first . But beyond that, candid moments, soulful mood, unexpected places is also what I want to bring out... I hope you'll like my photographic vision...
Sincerely,
Isabelle ♥

Soulful BW Tints

Some more freebies for you!  This set includes 8 black and white tint actions.  Nothing complicated here, just some light tints to add depth and mood to your black and white images.  Designed as actions to make your editing faster, so you don't have to look for the colors or adjust color levels, one click and it's done!
As usual it works in Elements too :)
These were intended to be applied on black and white photos, you may try it on color images, but since the tint is light, you may not notice it on a color photo.  But you are free to play!  Have some fun, it feels good!

(Same set of actions for Elements or CS)

Have a great weekend, happy processing!

Christmas Freebies!

We still have a while to wait before Christmas is here, but if you have photos to edit or cards to make, it's time to think about it!

Here is my Christmas Freebies set, an early gift ;) The set includes two actions (for CS & Elements), fun overlays and three 5x7 Christmas cards templates. The templates are .psd files, you have the front and back, feel free to customize them!

Please, don't take these actions seriously, they are just intended to add some fun in your Christmas/winter photos.

As for the overlays, they are .png files, so basically just transparent layers you add over your photos to add some Christmas magic.
They were created with Photoshop brushes, you can find the credits in the text file included.

I hope you have fun with this set!

Here is a preview of the templates, and a photo edited with one of the actions + one of the overlays

Edited with Baby it's cold outside action + Starry Night overlay,
erased over the face on the layer masks.

Edited with Baby it's cold outside action, added a dark blue layer with a layer mask.
Erased over the face on all layer masks, then added the Starry Night overlay

WEEK 44 - My Story In Photos: "Thankfulness"

It's Thankfulness week at I ♥ Faces and it's easy to guess what I am grateful for...

These two are almost 5 years apart but they are the perfect pair.  Bringing them into the world was not always an easy journey, but was worth the pain and anxiety...
Thank you for being what you are, I would not want you to be any different.
I hope I'm just as good to you as you are to me...
Love you with all my heart...

Last Christmas...

Have you already prepared your Christmas sessions?  It's hard to come up with new concepts every year so our Christmas photos don't look the same year after year...  I don't know about you, but I sure would love to find new inspiring concepts, working on one, a gift box with light inside, a cliché but this one I never did.
Any good ideas you want to share?

On this card template are last year's Christmas photos.
The template will be added to a Soulful Christmas set that will be available later this month... This one has poor resolution for web purposes, but the one in the set will be full resolution.  The set will include fun actions and overlays to play with, plus one or two 5x7 card templates...  Stay posted!

Lift up your soul Photoshop CS & Elements actions

A new set of actions, designed to lighten up and make the colors pop.  From soft pop to more intense pop.  It takes a while to get used to them, so my advice is, start by the more subtle enhancing and work your way to the intense one.  If your photo is already quite saturated and has a lot of contrast, the last action won't look natural.  As always, you can edit every layer and adjust blending modes and opacity to get a nice result.
There is a set for CS and one for Elements.  I had such a hard time making a fix for Elements, so there is a slight difference in the results.  I had no other choice.  Those actions are really built with the Curves adjustment, and they're not available in Elements so I had to find the closest values with Levels.  Levels is not as precise as Curves, but the results are close enough.

Oh!  And I forgot to mention, those are FREE ;o)
You can get them HERE
Make sure you select the file listed as pse if you are an Elements user!

Fix it Friday-34

It's been a while since I had time to play Fix it Friday, so here is my contribution for this week:

Edited using CS4 and by running two of my actions Soulful Dawn and a new upcoming one, (see Free Actions tab) and adding a little cloning here and there. Cropped a bit.  Also used the three step pop method I told you in an earlier post.
